Ron Thomson has worked with Native American communities from 1994 to the present. His work began in 1994 to 2001 with Rural Community Assistance Corporation and then here with the National Tribal Environmental Council (NTEC) in 2001. His previous experience/positions held are; Contract Manager, Senior Environmental Specialist, Native American Coordinator, Professional Trainer, Director of Water Programs and a Circuit Rider. With NTEC as a Circuit Rider, he is currently working with the Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency and other tribal public water systems in the United States. His locations of services are in the states of New Mexico and Wisconsin, which also include responsibility for organizing and managing workshop /webinar training for the water program.

Ron’s training & experience is varied and includes but not limited to; work as a trainer/coach in the NTEC Water Program - for field programs offered by the Office of Water Programs at Sacramento State University, curriculum development and trainer - for Emergency Preparedness "Train the Trainer" with NTEC/West Virginia National Environmental Services Center and trainer - for Check Up Programs for Small Systems (CUPSS) a program to manage your water and wastewater assets and a trainer/ program developer for Financial/Grant Management for Tribal Systems using QuickBooks Pro. He has received a BA degree in Management from St Mary’s College in Moraga California and has a Theology degree from the Episcopal School of Deacons in Berkeley California.
