There is a website where tribal organizations can go to obtain information related to their water and wastewater operations. Recently, NTEC attended the Associated Boards of Certification annual conference and learned of SmallWatersUPPLY.org.
SmallWaterSupply.org is:
- a database of information from almost 800 organizations that support water and wastewater operators.
- Includes over 8,900 document summaries and 12,500 training event details, making information easy to find by topic, type, state, and or sponsoring organization
- Supports nearly 800 state operator associations, technical assistance providers, and state and federal agencies by providing direct links to their valuable resources
- Includes logical keywords, categories and other searchable criteria linked to each resource that assist the operator in finding the best most relevent information quickly and easily
- Takes a cooperative and collaborative approach to assisting water and wastewater operators
- Has capable staff to assist operators directly by phone or e-mail to get them to the right expert, resource or organization.
These and other reasons make this website a must bookmark for any native system operator that needs to get information off the internet, to gain knowledge that will help he/she do the job that helps them protect the people of the community they serve.
